Dr Stella N. Lemchi
Provost/Chairman
Dr. (Mrs.) Stella Ngozi Lemchi is the Provost of Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri. She holds Bachelor of Science, Master of Education, and Doctor of Philosophy Degrees in Home Economics, all from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka.
Dr. Lemchi has a wealth of experience in the College. She has served as the Head of Department of Home Economics, Director of the Centre for Entrepreneurship Education, and the Deputy Provost of Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri. She has also served on several College Committees, including the College Research Committee, Quality Assurance Committee, and Academic Board Business Committee. She is a member of the Alvan Volunteer and Community Services.
Dr. Lemchi is a recipient of several awards, including the Arthur Nzeribe Scholarship for Undergraduates of Imo State (1988 - 1990), the Federal Government Scholarship Awards to Post-Graduate Students (1992 - 1993), and the Council for Development of Economics and Social Research in Africa (CODESRIA), Award for Thesis Writing for Post-Graduate Studies (1993 - 1994).
Dr. Lemchi is a passionate advocate for education. She believes that education can play a vital role in developing the skills and knowledge that young people need to succeed in life. She is committed to ensuring that education is accessible and relevant to all students.
One of Dr. Lemchi's most significant achievements is her work on the development of a new Curriculum for Home Economics education in Nigeria. This curriculum was based on the latest research and best practices in Home Economics education. It was designed to prepare students for the challenges of the 21st-Century workforce.
Dr. Lemchi is also a strong advocate for entrepreneurship education. She believes that entrepreneurship is a critical skill for young people to have in order to succeed in today's economy. She has developed a number of programmes and initiatives to promote entrepreneurship education at Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri.
Dr. Lemchi has published over 74 articles in reputable journals and book chapters. Her research interests include textiles and clothing, entrepreneurship/promotion of skills acquisition, curriculum development, and Home Economics Education policies.
She is an accomplished academic with a wealth of experience in Home Economics education, Entrepreneurship education and Educational administration. She is a passionate advocate for quality education and is committed to ensuring that all students, especially the girl-child have access to high-quality education.

Mr C.F Akpuchukwu
Managing Director
Mr. Chiemezie F. Akpuchukwu is the Managing Director of Alvana Microfinance Bank Limited.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Physics and is a Chartered Microfinance Banker, as well as a member of the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. He has also completed several ICT training programs, equipping him with strong technical and managerial competencies in banking operations.
Mr. Akpuchukwu began his career as a clerical staff member at Consolidated Breweries Plc., where he worked from 2011 to 2012. In 2013, he joined Numo Microfinance Bank Limited as Head of ICT, a role he held until 2018.
He joined Alvana Microfinance Bank Limited in 2018 as Head of Management Information Systems, a position he held with distinction until his elevation to the role of Managing Director in 2025.
His appointment as Managing Director was based on merit and an excellent track record, and was duly approved by the Bank’s Board of Directors in line with regulatory requirements.

Dr Casmir N. Ebomuche
Director
Dr. Ebomuche, Ngozi Casimir is a Chief Lecturer in the Department of Economics at Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education Owerri. Imo State. He is a native of Umuonyeali, Mberi, Mbaitoli L.G.A and attended Imo State University for his PHD in Industrial Economics in 2016, Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the University of Calabar in 2005, Pubjabi University India for his Master’s Degree in Economics in 1986 and Bachelor’s Degree in Economics in 1984 from the same school, West African School Certificate from Baptist High School Afaha Obio-Eno Uyo, Akwa Ibom State in 1977.
Ebomuche, Ngozi C. was employed in the Department of Economics, Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education Owerri in 1993 and he was the Chairman Accreditation Committee of the Department of Economics from 2010 – 2018. Dr Lynda C. Ngozi-Olehi
Director
Dr. Mrs. Lynda Chioma Ngozi-Olehi (nee Onwuvuariri), a devout Christian, hails from Ngor Okpala, Imo state. She obtained her Nigerian Certificate of Education (NCE) in Biology/Chemistry from Alvan Ikoku College of Education in 1992. She also graduated with second class upper division in Chemistry from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 1995. In 2002 and 2010, she obtained her MSc. and PhD in Analytical and Physical Chemistry respectively from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri. She started her teaching career as a Part- time Lecturer with Department of Chemistry, Alvan Ikoku College of Education, Owerri (AICE) in the year 2000. Dr. Mrs. Lynda became employed as a full time staff in 2003 as an Assistant lecturer and rose through the ranks to a Chief Lecturer in Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education,Owerri (AIFCE). She trained and obtained the ICDL Profile Certificate (Cyber Security, Online Collaboration, ICT in Education, 2022).
Her research interest is in the field of Green Chemistry. She has received some travel and research grants from Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund), Nigeria. She is a member of some professional bodies such as: Institute of Chartered Chemists of Nigeria (MICCON), Chemical Society of Nigeria (CSN), Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN), Organization of Women in Science for Developing World (OWSD), American Chemical Society (ACS) and Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON). She has served in different capacities in both her institution and professional bodies, some of which include; Treasurer of CSN Imo/Abia Chapter(2009-2012), Chairman, CSN Imo chapter (2018-2021), Technical Officer, Alvan STEP-B team 2010-2014, Head, Department of Chemistry AIFCE, Owerri (2011-2013), Director, ICT Centre, AIFCE (2013-2020), Center Administrator, Alvan CBT Center (2015-2020), Director, Admissions Unit (2020-2021), Member AIFCE Staff Disciplinary Committee (2013-date), Panel Member for NCCE Accreditation of the FCE, Gombe State (August, 2019), Dean, School of General Studies, AIFCE, Owerri (2021-date), Women leader He Reigns Chapel Church (2008-2012, 2016-2018), Member, Board Audit Committee, Alvana Microfinance Bank Owerri (2014-2022). Dr Andrew A. Agbiogwu
Director
Dr. Agbiogwu Andrew Anaele. He was born on the 18th day or February 1964 in Ehime-Mbano LGA, Imo State, Nigeria. He attended Community Secondary School Umunumo, in 1982, Alvan Ikoku College of Education (Now Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education Owerri Imo State), 1989, University of Nigeria Nsukka, 1991, Nnamdi Azikiwe University Awka, 1997, Imo State University Owerri, 2008, Michael Okpara University of Agriculture Umudike, Umuahia, 2021.

Prof Patience A. Nwamuo
Director
Professor (Mrs) Patience Achinihu Nwamuo hails from Nkwerre, she was born into the noble family of Nze and Lolo Francis Ihekwaba of blessed memory. After her primary education, she enrolled in the then-prestigious St. Catherine's Secondary School Nkwerre where she carved a niche for herself by dint of hard work and painstaking scholarship. Not done with that level of educational achievement, she ventured into a University Education that was then reserved for the elect and Lionhearted.
Owing to her lucent mannerisms and professional creativity, she rose to the rank of a Reader in the Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education (AIFCE) Owerri, where she held many sensitive positions of trust. She also served as a member of the College Governing Council. On retirement, she was appointed Associate Professor at the University of Calabar in 2017 and in 2021 Gregory University Uturu appointed her Professor and Director University Guidance and Counseling Centre and Associate Dean Scholars Affairs department. Currently, she is the Dean College of Education.
Professor Nwamuo belongs to many professional associations and has received many awards. She is a Fellow of CASSON. She is also one of the pioneering foundation members of GSAN and SOSTAN for which she remains the incumbent and substantive National President. She is a fellow Gender Studies Association of Nigeria (FGSAN) and a Fellow Social Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (FSOSTAN). She is an elegant Amazon, an excellent crusader of justice, a lethal cerebral, a quintessential mother, a bridge builder, a professional counselor altissimo, a career educator, a dynamic mentor and group icon, and a distinguished Worthy Ambassador of the University of Ibadan Alumni Association Nigeria.
Professor Nwamuo is the recipient of the Distinguished Women of Excellence Award by the Nkwerre Daughters Association and Ugwunkwerre by Nkwerre Aborignes Union. She is a community leader in Ahiaeke Autonomous Community where she has the record of being the first female Ph. D holder. She is a 4th-degree Lady of the Order of the Knight of St. Mulumba, Nigeria. She is married to Prof. Chris Nwamuo, the orator of UNICAL with successful children and promising grandchildren. As a sound and internationally acclaimed scholar, Prof. Pat Nwamuo is widely published, read, and traveled. Her stint in education has taken her to the U.S.A, U.K, India, Malta Island, Uganda, Ghana, Botswana, and South Africa among others.

Mrs. Patricia Chiedozie Okwuegbulem holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu State. She is an Associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) as well as an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Finance and Control of Nigeria (CIFCON).
She has over twenty (20) years of accounting experience from various establishments. She is an Assistant Deputy Bursar at Alvan Ikoku Federal College of Education, Owerri, Imo State where she has headed three (3) units in the Bursary Department namely; Bills, Payroll, and Treasury Units.
She prepares Financial Reports for the Institution’s Management decision-making. She was appointed a Director (Board member) of Alvana Microfinance Bank Ltd on July 1, 2022.
She has attended several programs and courses including International Strategic Financial Planning and Treasury Management workshop for organizational growth (Pretoria, South Africa), Corporate Governance Dynamics and loan Portfolio Principles (ALMFB Imo State), Cyber Security, ICT in Education, Online Collaboration (ICDL Africa). Effective cash handling management in the Public Sector (Abuja, Nigeria), fast-tracking e-payment system, IPPIS, and GIFMIS: options and best practice (Abuja, Nigeria).
